Water Can Save Winkler

Recently, I have done research at Winkler Botanical Preserve. The preserve is next to the new BRAC building and is by the highway. The purpose of experimenting at Winkler was to figure out if and how the impervious surfaces near Winkler affected the preserve's water quality. What I turned out doing was testing for only Nitrate, Phosphate, and Dissolved Oxygen. These three contaminants were present in abnormal amounts. After several weeks of testing, I found that the impervious surfaces around Winkler were affecting it's water quality in a negative way. Follow us here at GW Change Project and find out more about Winkler and it's amazing elements. More will be posted about Winkler and about what is going on at Winkler.
